The Chisholm Trail Heritage Center hosted a writing program for sixth-graders.
A total of 25 Duncan Middle School students participated in the “Saddle up & Write” event, led by Nathan Brown, professor at the University of Oklahoma. Sophia Marsh and Autumn Boyles were among those who participated.
Marsh said there were two classes the kids could be a part of. Marsh was in the morning session.
“Mr. Brown helped us with tips,” she said.
Boyles said the students gained inspiration from the displays Heritage Center.
“We looked at art and wrote what we thought of it,” Boyles said.
