On Thursday January 16th, the Duncan Middle School basketball teams played the Ardmore Tigers. Both of the DMS boys basketball teams fell short to the Tigers. The seventh grade lost by one point, and the eighth grade lost 43-25. The seventh grade Lady Demons also fell short to the Tigers 47-20. The eighth grade Lady Demons were victorious against the Tigers. They won 37-17.
Arriyah Harris, number 2 for the seventh grade Lady Demons said, we didn’t play as good as they could have throughout the game. Harris said the officials were okay, but they weren’t perfect. She said, “ We really needed to have communicated better throughout the game.” She said the defense did better during the game, and she said they are ready for their game on Monday.
Landon Holthaus, number 33 for the eighth grade Demons said, “We play good in the first half, but we didn’t play well in the second half.” Holthaus thought the officials were “pretty good” at the game. He said the team should have slowed down during the game. He said the offense was better during the game, they had a better game than their offense. He said he is ready for Monday and hopes they win their game.
