The Duncan Middle School came back from winter break for Christmas and New Year’s on January 4th, 2023. Duncan Middle School Newspaper students interviewed four students, Mya Padilla, Ariana Marquez, Abigail Hanson, and Kristina Ortiz. Mya Padilla said she stayed at home and had to babysit for New Year’s. Some of Padilla’s new year’s resolutions are to get her grades up and finish assignments. One of her favorite moments from 2022 was when her dog Athena was born. She definitely thinks 2023 is going to be better and is very excited.
Ariana Marquez was second to be interviewed by Duncan Middle School Newspaper.
Marquez said, “I stayed home for New Year’s.”
One of her resolutions is to get her grades up. One of her favorite moments from 2022 was when she went to a quince in Texas. She says she is excited for 2023 and that 2023 will be better but,
“last year was really fire,” she says.
The third, to be interviewed by Duncan Middle School Newspaper is Abigail Hanson. Hanson said she went to her aunt’s house for New Year’s. Some of her resolutions are to stop putting heat on her hair and get her grades up. One of her favorite moments from 2022 is when she dyed her hair. She is very excited about 2023 but 2023 has started a little rough so 2022 might be better than 2023.
The last to be interviewed by Duncan Middle School Newspaper was Kristina Ortiz. Ortiz said she partied with her family for New Year’s. One of her New year’s resolutions is to have better grades. One of her favorite moments from 2022 is the homecoming football game. She is very excited and thinks that 2023 will be 100 percent better than 2022.
Duncan Middle school students are very excited for the New Year and hope the second semester will be great like the first semester.
