National Junior Honor Society, also known as NJHS is a club that allows kids to be in if they have good attitudes, good attendance, good grades, and more. As the 8th graders leave they don’t attend the Duncan Middle School NJHS but they can in Duncan High School with NHS which stands for National Honor Society. When the current 7th and 6th graders go up to their next grade they have a chance of getting picked for this club.
On Tuesday the 21st of May, they will be holding a ceremony for all the kids that will have the honor of getting inducted. The people who will be hosting the ceremony will be Derrick Miller and Sally Wheeler. The current 8th-grade officers will have a speech to say to honor the upcoming officers to replace them in their spots. As everyone had said their speech and agreement to the National Junior Honor Society the current officer will hand them a candle to pass down the spot that they represented.
All of these other students who are not officers will be announced at this ceremony as well. For people being able to be in this club is an amazing honor. National Junior Honor Society is a club to be involved with your community that is why they take a good look at all the things you do and you are included in.
