As of Wednesday, September 11, the DMS girl wrestlers have been selling suckers for a fundraiser. They’re having the fundraiser to raise money so the coaches can afford more wrestling gear. Last year the wrestling team had a different fundraiser but it sold bedsheets, most didn’t sell.
Leahanna Airington, a wrestler, said ¨Selling suckers is fun and kids would rather have candy/suckers better than bed sheets.¨ Airington has sold two boxes of suckers already. She only wants to sell either four or five boxes in total.
Victoria Monroe, another wrestler, said “It is fun”. Monroe has sold 2 suckers and sold the rest to her mom. She thinks the fundraiser is for all the wrestling gear.
