Duncan Middle School’s first dance of the year is from 6:30 to 9 tonight in the DMS gym. The theme is “Sports.”
The National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring the dance and is making it happen by paying for everything. Students should be dressed in school-appropriate attire without shoes, only socks.
There will be a photo booth and concessions.
Sherry McGhghy, NJHS sponsor, said, “There could be anywhere from 300 to 400 kids at the dance. You just never know, and that’s why we usually choose a night where the Duncan Demons are away, so there won’t be people at the football game instead of the dance.”
Students choosing to attend the dance must be academically eligible and should not have been suspended or in ISI during the week of the dance.
“There will be changes to next dance because something might go wrong or something doesn’t turn out right and because a different group will be sponsoring the dance next time,” McGhghy said.
The next dance will be sometime in December. The choir/vocal music group will sponsor the next dance.
