The theme was “Sports.” The time was 6:30 to 9 p.m. The location was the Duncan Middle School gym.
National Junior Honor Society hosted the first middle school dance of the school year Friday. Students who were academically eligible were able to attend with a $5 admission fee.
For the event, there was a concession, a photo booth and “a bunch of kids having fun,” Sherry McGhghy, NJHS sponsor, said. “There might be two more dances but we will definitely have at least one more” she said.
Patience Eichler said “I was very excited for the dance!”
Eichler said she likedthe sports theme. She dressed up as a volleyball player.
Ka’ziya Criner said that she was also really excited for the dance. Criner wore a Duncan Demon jersey, and said the dance lit.
Lastly, Julia Wilson wore an OU jersey. She said that she “planned to talk,” and she did.
Wilson liked the theme of the dance because she “didn’t have to wear a dress.”
