With the last few basketball tournaments of the year upcoming and the temperatures lowering, coaches are trying to avoid colder days for games and tournaments. After the schools announced they were having a snow day on Jan.9, DMS basketball coaches canceled the Lindsay tournament for the seventh-grade basketball team. The Lindsay Tournament was supposed to occur from Jan. 9 to 11.
Coaches Isacc Mason and Jordon Dotson coach the middle school basketball team. They said the disadvantages of this are they can’t find what they need to focus on while practicing and the advantages of it are extra time for practice.
Adyson Cook, an eighth-grade cheerleader, said the basketball team was going against Chickasha for an away game.
