“The pace of grace.”
There is something about these words that hit me while writing this and looking back over my life. I remember so many times I wanted to rush things like growing up and getting into high school and then college and after that starting a family.
But there is something I got all wrong.
Those are my plans and my pace, not God’s.
And Jeremiah 29:11 it says “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plan to prosper you and not to harm you but to give you hope in the future.”
Why try to rush things when God has a bigger and better plan?
There’s a perfect example for this. We’re going five miles per hour on a treadmill, but we’re trying to run 15 miles per hour. I’m going to hurt myself trying to speed up God’s plan and run when God is telling me to walk.
There are so many areas in my life where I’m running and just hurting myself instead of walking at the pace of God’s grace because when we try to run, we come out of it heartbroken and scared to a point that we can’t take it.
I want to remember this quote “If you feel like your plans are falling apart it just means God’s are falling into place.”
It’s God’s plan over ours. it’s God’s timing over ours. It’s God’s purpose over ours. It’s all his so go out the pace of grace.
