Duncan Middle School had a lot planned this week, but several things were canceled because of weather conditions.
DMS goes virtual
Because of the threat of inclement weather, including snow and negative temperatures, Duncan Public Schools went to virtual learning for Tuesday and Wednesday, instead of returning to regular classes following the mid nine-weeks break.
At DMS, teachers pushed out assignments through Google Classroom, while also being available throughout the virtual days to answer student questions.
Because of the freezing temperatures expected Thursday, the school district canceled school for Thursday, using another inclement weather day.
Soccer participates in tournament
Last Friday, the DMS soccer teams participated in a round robin tournament. The tournament took place in Lawton.
Student Council meeting, spring photos rescheduled
The move to virtual learning Tuesday meant that the previously scheduled Student Council meeting was moved to the following Tuesday. Another change in date was the spring portraits and spring sports photos, which have been rescheduled for March 3.
