Coca-Cola is a beverage enjoyed by many people around the globe.
It was first invented May 8, 1886, (around 139 years ago) by Dr. John Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia. Coca-Cola was first served at Jacobs’ Pharmacy.
Its headquarters is also located in Atlanta.
Coca-Cola, however, does not only have just one flavor In fact, many exist.
More than 100 flavors of Coke exist. The most popular flavors include Classic, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke and Cherry-Vanilla Coke. The most recent are Coca-Cola flavors include Starlight in 2022, Coca-Cola Spiced in 2024, and Coca-Cola Happy Tears, which is more of a zero sugar, and it’s my favorite.
A collaboration between Oreo and Coca-Cola occurred in late 2024, leading to Coca-Cola-flavored Oreos and Oreo-flavored Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola is available in most parts of the world, leading to many countries making their own flavors. Unfortunately, they are quite rare to acquire.
“Sparletta Sparberry” from Zimbabwe is considered the rarest coke. “Minute Maid Joy Apple Lyche” from Korea is second and doesn’t even sound like a Coca-Cola. “Fanta Melon Frosty” from Thailand is third, and I am obviously going to try it.
It’s been 139 years, and Coca-Cola is insanely rich, having made 45.8 billion dollars in revenue in 2023. In 2019, Coca-Cola reported an annual income of 37.27 billion dollars, which is an astonishing 101 million dollars PER DAY.
Not only that, but Coca-Cola is the biggest beverage company in the entire world because of sales and marketing. It’s also the world’s biggest non-alcoholic beverage company.
It’s impressive to have grown that much over the past 139 years.
