In-N-Out Burger is a popular fast food restaurant that started in California. It was founded in 1948, by Harry and Esther Snyder.
The first restaurant was in Baldwin Park, California, and it was a small drive-thru. They wanted to make fresh high quality burgers at a low price and serve them quickly. This idea made In-N-Out different from other fast food places.
Harry Snyder also changed the fast food world by introducing the drive thru. Before In-N-Out, most restaurants only let customers walk up to order. They only sold hamburgers, fries and drinks. However, the fresh beef patties and hand-cut fries made the food taste better than other fast-food places.
Now In-N-Out offers multiple to different items such as their Animal style fries, shakes made with real ice cream and more.
In-N-Out quickly became popular and opened more locations all over California. It even expanded outside the state, but it stayed mostly on the West Coast.
The company remained family-owned and didn’t use franchises like most fast food restaurants.
