With the invention of AI assistants, such as ChatGPT, the future of education may be happening now.
AI (or Artificial Intelligence) is a type of technology that allows machines to think and act like humans. It’s like teaching a robot or a computer to learn things, make decisions and even solve problems on its own without needing a person to tell it what to do all the time.
You can find AI all around you.
For example, common smartphone voice assistants, such as Siri or Google Assistant, are powered by AI. They can understand your questions and give you answers, almost like they can think.
AI is also used in things like self driving cars. These cars have special sensors and AI programs that help them see the road and make decisions to drive safely just like a person would.
Braylnn Rosen, a DMS eighth-grader, said that he likes AI.
Rosen said he likes using AI to chat because he can get the answers with it. he said AI will benefit schools because it can help students learn and help them get better answers. AI can also help teachers make worksheets that students can use.
He said he doesn’t think AI will impact his daily life.
One of the cool things about AI is that it learns from experience. This is called “machine learning.”
Imagine you’re teaching an AI to recognize cats in pictures. At first the AI might get it wrong, but the more pictures it sees, the better it gets at recognizing cats. Over time, it can get so good that it can tell the difference between a cat and a dog with hardly any mistakes.
Even though AI is really smart, it still has limitations. It can only do what it’s trained to do, and it might struggle with things that require a lot of creativity or human emotions.
But as technology gets better, AI will keep improving, and it might one day do even more amazing things.
