Students and teachers returned to the classrooms this week, as Spring Break came to an end. With the end of the 10-day break, Duncan Middle School has many events taking place.
Eighth grade goes on field trip
Eighth-grade students went on the industry field trip with half going Thursday and the other half going today. The students got an opportunity to tour different businesses.
Sports team playing this week
Soccer played against Lawton Mac on Thursday. The baseball Marlow tournament started on Thursday and goes through today.
Demon Direct, The Flame staffs attend OSM
Staff members for the Demon Direct Newspaper and The Flame yearbook attended the 109th Spring Media Day, hosted by Oklahoma Scholastic Media. This year featured a partnership between OSM and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Some of the students received individual awards, while the Demon Direct received Honors. Derrick Miller, journalism teacher, was named the Adviser of the Year for 2025.
No more Fridays this year
Today marks the final Friday for the 2024-25 school year.
