The Youth Elite Cheer team won first place in their division during their competition in January. In February, they won their second competition.

The winning season hasn’t stopped there.
Youth Elite Cheerleading is a competitive sport where young athletes, mostly girls, form teams to compete in various cheerleading competitions. The sport involves stunts, tumbling, dance, and cheers, and it requires a lot of hard work, practice, and dedication.
The main goal is for these teams to perform their best in front of judges, aiming for high scores and, often, first-place finishes.
In Duncan, the Youth Elite Cheer team has been representing the town at competitions, and one of its dedicated athletes Emma Gibson has been a part of this exciting journey.
Gibson, a DMS sixth-grader, has enjoyed every moment of being on the team and how much fun it has been to participate in the competitions.
“It was really fun to participate in the competitions,” Gibson said. “We started placing 1st in some of the events, and that made all our hard work feel worth it.”
The success in competitions is a result of the countless hours spent in practice. The cheerleaders practice stunts, routines, and tumbling skills to make sure their performances are flawless. With each competition, they continue to improve, showing off the talent and teamwork that represent Duncan proudly.
So far, the youth elite cheer team has had a fantastic season. They’ve attended several competitions and placed in the top spots.
There’s only one competition left in the season, and the team is excited to finish on a high note.
Even though the season has been filled with hard work, Emma and her teammates are grateful for their experience. They’ve had a lot of fun while working together to bring their best performances to the stage. The youth elite cheer team’s season has been a huge success, and they can’t wait to see what the final competition has in store.
Everyone is looking forward to what happens next, and it has been a season to remember.
