Anti-bullying Week started today and will go through the last week of October, ending Oct. 31.
The goal of Anti-Bullying Week is to promote fair treatment among students and to promote what bullying is so kids know how to not bully on accident.
Derrick Miller, journalism teacher, and Melissa Mayo, art teacher, have planned the week and have included other teachers in the process.
“If things go well then I can see us doing it again next year,” Miller said. “The school already has a cyberbully week each year.
“If there is a anti-bullying every year there will be less bullying hopefully.”
Teachers throughout the week will be informing students about the different types of bullying. Miller said many students have been effected by bullying and hopes the Anti-Bullying Week will help.
