Student Thoughts on Receiving Student of the Month

“To me, being student of the month means that my hard work and respecting others pays off.” -Alex Hernandez, sixth grade

“Student of the month means to me that I am a helpful student, make good grades, take accountability in others and that I have school spirit.” -Ava Curry, eighth grade

“I feel that Student of The Month is important. I feel this way because that means you are seen as good by the teachers, meaning you do your work, you are respectful and you listen. School is a place for education so if you are doing what you are asked then you are already exceeding. Student of The Month is easy to achieve. If you are at school to learn (not to do anything else) then you have already won Student of The Month.” -Bailey Cieminski, eight grade

Today, Duncan Middle School recognized its students and staff members of the month for October.

Sixth-grade students included Kooper Kelly, Alex Hernandez, Rylee Brand and Carlea Lance. Seventh-grade students of the month were Kendra Barbarick, Emory Schulz, Jordan Talley and Kimberly Mendoza. Eighth-grade students recognized were Logan Morris, Devin Shrope-McGee, Bailey Cieminski and Ava Curry.

The staff members of the month were Becky Smith, Jamar Lockhart and Joni Blackburn.
