On Nov. 17, the eighth-grade science classes tested the catapult students had built over the course of the week.
In Davis Loafman’s class, students worked in groups of three or four. The requirements included it had to launch 20 feet and students had to be able to pull it back.
One group included Ihiry Scott, Brianna Talton, Emilee Montoya and Jeremiah Sturges, who built a giant catapult. The group said it was a great project to learn from and it was really fun to do.
Loafman said the project was a great idea, and he was glad to see the students interact.
