Duncan Middle School recognized outstanding students and faculty members Wednesday morning in an assembly in the DMS gym.
The awards were given for students, staff and teachers of the month for December. Also, counselor Butch Evans was recognized for his contributions to the student population through the school clothes and food closet.
Sixth-grade students of the month were Henry Spoering, Callen Villagrana, Kady Wiggins and Seth Jordan. Seventh-grade students of the month included Sydney Nguyen, Andres Diaz, Gavin Hodges and Honesti Franklin. Eighth-grade students of the month were Sarah Poage, Adelina Pizana, Korbin Hammack and Jesus Ramirez.
In addition to students of the month, school nurse Tabitha Sale was named staff member of the month. Teachers of the month were Tammy Bennett and Drew Wortham.
