The DMS Demons will face off against Lawton Tomlinson today in Lawton, kicking off the Duncan Middle School’s football season. The seventh-grade team will play at 5 p.m., and the eighth-grade team will play at 6 p.m.
In the 2017 season, the Demons failed to win a single game, putting more pressure on this season. Zachary Collins, eighth-grade football player, said the team has worked to improve. This year, the team has new coaches, new plays and more players, Collins said.
Today’s game is the first of eight games the Demons will play with three of them being at home. The season will end Oct. 16 in a home game against Central Lawton.
Larry “Tres” Culberson III, another eighth-grade player, said he feels the team’s defense is good and will help bring wins to the team this year.
“No complaints, hard work,” Culberson said.
