The seventh-grade football teams is currently 3-0 with a winning streak, the opposite of how the eighth-grade team has fared so far. Eli Ramirez, seventh-grade player, said communication has been key in his team’s successful season.
“I think the seventh grade talks more, and gets along better on the field,” Ramirez said.
He said his team is good about working together. He plans to play next year, and has already been playing football for three years.
Seventh grade played Elgin on Tuesday, resulting in a win of 20 to 8. However, the eighth-grade team fell with 14 points versus Elgin’s 22 points.
