The Duncan Middle School football players are facing Lawton Mac at Ron Stevens Stadium in Lawton. That was a change of venue for the DMS Demons, who were initially supposed to play against Lawton Ike at home.
The seventh-grade team will play at 5:30 p.m., and the eighth-grade team will play at 7 p.m.
Some of the eighth-grade football players gave their opinions on the game.
Nathan Henry and Devon Parker said they have expectations for their team. For Parker, that expectation is to make a touchdown. Whereas, Henry said he is looking forward to making some tackles.
Both said they’re disappointed they won’t be playing at home for several reasons, including not having as many fans present. Both that’s not all.
“It’s so late,” Henry said about the change of venue.
Parker said he wishes the game was still at home because it would get him home faster.
The seventh-grade team is currently undefeated after three games, and the eighth-grade team has lost its three games.
