Duncan Middle School hosted its first pep rally of the school year Tuesday, before the seventh- and eighth-grade football teams faced Lawton Ike.
Football, volleyball, cross country and softball were all recognized for their hard work. The band performed, while the cheerleaders cheered and danced. For the song “Tequila,” the lyrics were changed to say “Demons” instead because the original lyrics were deemed not appropriate for school.
Kenzie Beck, Anna Grace Roberson and Sandra Billings were among the cheerleaders who took part in the pep rally.
They said the pep rally was energetic and fun. They have been practicing for the pep rally since the first day of school, and they said it paid off.
