Today is Crazy Hair Day at Duncan Middle School.
This is the third of six dress-up days set aside for Red Ribbon Week. Monday was Pajama Day, and Tuesday was Denim Day. Eli Ramirez and Kooper Kelly, both seventh-grade students at DMS, were among the students who worked on their hair for Crazy Hair Day.
“It’s fun to show school spirit,” Ramirez said about Crazy Hair Day.
Both had siblings who helped them with their hairstyles for the day. And both have dressed up for each of the theme days so far for Red Ribbon Week.
For each day, students pay $1 to participate in that day’s theme day or $5 to participate in all six days. The money collected goes to National Junior Honor Society.
Ramirez and Kelly said Red Ribbon Week is important for DMS students.
“Don’t do drugs,” Kelly said.
The theme days continue Monday with Career/Professional Day.
