The Duncan High School football team made it to the playoffs for the first time in six years.
According to a tweet posted by Duncan Athletics on Oct. 26, the Duncan Demon’s victory over Lawton Mac helped “clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2012.”
The team defeated most of its opposing teams, only losing once to Ardmore. Most recently, they defeated Altus with a win of 42 to 21, which helped determine the Demons’ home field advantage in their first game of the playoffs. Their record was 9-1 for the season.
The fist game of the playoffs will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Halliburton Stadium.
