In total, 20 students from Duncan Middle School were selected to have their art work on display throughout the month of March as part of the Chisholm Trail Arts Council’s Youth Art Month gallery.
The students, who range from sixth to eighth grade, were able to submit their work through the art program at DMS. The program is under direction of art teacher Melissa Mayo.
The reception for the exhibit will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the CTAC Art Gallery at 810 W. Walnut in Duncan. Although the reception is for one night only, the art will be on display until the end of March.
The gallery is open to the public. Unlike years before, the art will not be relocated to the Duncan Middle School following the end of the CTAC display.
The DMS student with art in the exhibit include Dannial Crispin, Emilio Harris, Alina Magana, Mekailyn Boice, Emily Smith, Megan Bumpas, Jasmine Stevens, Nathaniel Scallan, Logan Hopkins, Reagan Hicks, Grace Dean, Audrey Berend, Makena Scott, Drew Cook, Sydney Jackson, Amaia Paige, Sooner Turner, Isaac Vallecillo, Cole Young and Diana Garcia.
