The smell changes with every turn you take.
One place smells like funnel cake; the next like fresh grilled meat. Children laugh in awe at the unreal sights before them. Cinderella’s castle stands tall, towering over the crowds below.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse take photos with and hug young children, while Ariel and Aurora tell girls they can do anything. At night the fireworks light up every face.
Less than 10 miles away, a lion roars. Wild birds and animals follow you as you ride the safari. The smells of Indian and African food fill your nose. Vibrant colors are everywhere you look.
At the end of the day you are fulfilled and satisfied, but the fun continues with a new adventure of sights, smells, tastes and fun to be had. This truly has to be the “happiest place on Earth.”
Spring Break is just around the corner, and students and teachers are counting the minutes. Spring Break starts Friday and will end March 24.
“I think Spring Break is a great opportunity to give students a bit of a break before the test ( the OCCT),” Michael Quinlan, seventh-grade student, said.
For many students and teachers, Spring Break will be spent relaxing and re-cooperating from the first quarter of the semester. Some may use the time to catch up on school work. And still, others may use the time off to leave town and explore another place.
Jackson Poage, sixth-grade student, is one of those people who will be going somewhere else for Spring Break. Poage is going to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, for vacation.
“I’ve been to Disney World two or three times already, but it never gets old,” Poage said. “I’m really looking forward to it.”
Although not everyone is leaving town during the week, Spring Break pauses the school year to give students and teachers a break before testing begins.
