Remember how nervous you were the first time you saw the middle school? Well, the end of another year means exactly this: fifth-graders got a sneak peek of what next year will be like for them.
At around 9 a.m. Tuesday, fifth-graders entered the halls of Duncan Middle School and were welcomed by a pep-rally. The rally included performances from the middle school cheer team, band and choir.
Fifth-graders were also given a tour of the middle school. Fifth graders were split into groups and led around the middle school by selected students from seventh and eighth grades.
“A lot of the fifth graders were really loud,” Jentry Seeberger, eighth grader who helped lead fifth graders in tours, said, “but I liked how a lot of them asked questions about it.”
Tables for clubs were set up in the gym, as well, to inform the fifth-grader students about what clubs are available that might relate to their interests.
