On Sept. 25, Duncan Middle School volleyball traveled to El Reno for the last away game of the season.
The second junior varsity team fell short to El Reno. They lost their first and second sets. The first junior varsity team fell short by a couple of points in their first and second sets.
However, the varsity team was victorious against the El Reno Indians. In the first set, the Lady Demons beat the Indians. In the second set they lost to the Indians. But in the third set, the Lady Demons pulled out the win with 15 to 6.
Eighth-grader Jaycee Lorher, a varsity volleyball player, said, “The game went well, and we communicated and passed good.”
Lorher’s position is setter. Lohrer said she thinks the coaches prepared the team members.
Seventh-grader Vivienne Albin, who plays on the junior varsity team, said, “The game went well.”
Her favorite position is hitting.
Seventh-grader Joselyn Munoz, who is a member of the junior varsity 2 team, said “The game went fine.”
Her favorite position is passing. She said she thinks the coaches did their job effectively, but the outcome wasn’t what the team was hoping for.
“I think the coaches have prepared us,” Munoz said.
