This Friday , November eighth, the teachers are having a training day. The training is about human trafficking. The students will stay in their first hour the whole day. When their teacher goes to training the students will go to the gym and play dodgeball. We asked a few students what they think about this situation.
Eighth grade student Patience Eichler said that she dislikes that she has to stay in her first hour the whole day. She thinks she that she will have to do a lot of work and she does not think doing a lot of work sounds fun. But she is excited to play dodgeball.
Sixth grade student Cecil Jones said that he is excited to stay in his first hour all day. He thinks that they will sing and do some music papers. He is excited to play dodgeball with and against his friends.
We asked Derrick Miller what he thinks abut having the same students all day and he said that it would be beneficial and they can dig deeper into what they need to learn. He thinks at the training they will learn what to look for in the students. He has done human trafficking training before.
