Amber Molina, one of the new eighth grade science teachers, assigned her science students a very hands-on and interesting project. They were given one specific animal, and had to learn about the ecosystem in which the animal belonged to. After they learned about the ecosystem, They were required to construct an ecosystem for their animals.
“The ecosystem project is a great way for students to incorporate hands-on learning. What seemed like the hardest part of the project for students was not labeling the different parts and researching fossil fuels and fossils.” she said.
Allison Bailey, one of her 4th hour students, said ,”I feel like the project was good. I think our project went well considering the amount of time we had to work on it. The hardest part of the project was trying to get it done on time.”
