Duncan Middle School held its first bus evacuation of year Friday.
Duncan Public Schools’ bus evacuation drills are planned and done once a year. The State of Oklahoma requires every school to report and perform all types of drills in real life situation.
“It went good,” Assistant Principal Rodney Strutton said. “The teachers did a great job, and the students cooperated.”
Coaches Mike Fitts, Andrew Bowers and Grant Givens led the drills on the buses. All students had to know how to perform the drill, as with other drills, for any real life situations.
