As of a couple of weeks DMS has decided to ban gum. Mr. Hightower stated that the reason we are banning gum is because the janitors are finding gum under the desk in the classrooms and under the lunch tables and the janitors shouldn’t have to clean up gum that’s not theirs.
Lexxus McReynolds said that she doesn’t like that gm is banned because it helps her concentrate while studying for a test and taking a test.
Kenzie Andrews said that she didn’t really care that the gum got banned because she has braces and can’t chew it. When asked if gum was going to be banned next Mr. Hightower said that it depends if they feel they can allow it back.
