The DMS Baseball team has been practicing for the past three weeks. Teammates are working hard to prepare for their first game on March 9.
Jeffry Cross, an eighth grade baseball player on varsity, said practice has been going pretty good.
“Coach Mullins is good, and Coach Mayes is a baby but is good,” Cross said.
He said that he has been working on his own so that he can improve on his own. Cross plays 2nd base and really enjoys it.
Gage Ingram, eighth-grade baseball player, said practice has been going good. Ingram thinks the coaches are “amazing.”
He has been working on his own outside of practice. Gage Ingram is a third baseman and pitcher.
Cannon Brenneis, a seventh-grade baseball player, said, “I’m not ready for the game on March 9th.”
Brenneis plays way back in center field. He has been trying to hone his skills by working on his own some after practice.
