Thursday, February 6, Renea Lawler’s eighth-grade STEM students held a parade throughout the school hallways to show their most recent project they have been working on.
For their project, her students had to design a “pull toy,” which then had to be approved by Mrs. Lawler, and finally they could start constructing their toy. For their criteria, the toy had to have three DIFFERENT moving parts to it. In total, it took her students about three weeks to complete the project.
Finally on Thursday the toys were ready to present. During fourth and fifth hour, her students pulled their toys down the eighth grade hall. Some students in other classes went into the hallway and cheered on their classmates.
Overall, the toy parade seemed to be a very successful event. Great job to the students who participated.
