Duncan Middle School seventh-graders are using their WIN time to do some yoga.
Amara Smith’s WIN students have used the 25-minute class period to learn about various yoga techniques, which help the students relax and get their blood flowing.
Smith said only students who have finished all their work are able to participate in the physical activity. She said the students have enjoyed doing yoga, which has many health benefits, from getting their bodies and minds moving. Plus, it’s fun for those who get involved.
Smith uses a YouTube tutorial for yoga, usually Disney themed. She said the students have fun, and it helps encourage students to finish their work.
