Disney/Pixar’s “Onward” has a lot of meaning and some jokes. I love Disney movies, and this one is definitely on of my favorites.
“Onward” is about two teenage, elf brothers who go on a magical quest to spend one more day with their father. They go through a lot of obstacles and a lot of discoveries. When their mom figures out they went, she starts to worry and goes to look for them.
The movie stars Tom Holland who plays Ian Lightfoot and Chris Pratt who plays Barley Lightfoot. I think they chose a really good cast, and they did an amazing job; I wouldn’t change anything.
It has a mix of realistic and unrealistic things. I normally don’t like movies about elves and other creatures, but this movie is definitely an exception. The movie’s ending almost made me cry and is heartwarming.
My favorite character is Blazey, the dragon pet. He doesn’t have a big part in the movie, but my favorite characters are always the ones with small parts.
I would love to go on a crazy adventure like the one they go on in this movie. I like how this movie is in the modern day with technology and how it points out how the world has evolved into more advanced technology.
I have only watched this movie twice, but I definitely plan on watching it more. The characters in this movie go through real life problems that people go through, and I definitely recommend this movie to anyone. I cannot wait for Disney to make more amazing movies so I can watch them.
“Onward” was released March 6, and you can watch it on Disney Plus. It is 1 hour and 42 minutes. It’s rated PG and is under the category animation/family.
I would give this movie 5 stars.
