Duncan Middle School’s football teams are playing their first games of the season tonight.
The first game of the season starts with the seventh-grade team playing at 5 p.m. The eighth-grade team plays at 6:30 p.m. Both games are at home and against Durant.
The football players have been practicing every week day for about two hours, starting immediately after school and finishing around 5 p.m.
Jackson Lohrer, seventh-grade player, said the team is made up of good friends, which makes them work best as a team. He said many of the players were disappointed when the originally scheduled game against Lawton Tomlinson, which was slated to be the first game, was canceled.
