Once again, Disney has not let me down.
The new Disney Plus original movie is “The One and Only Ivan.” I love this movie.
This movie is based off of a true story, and it’s a book. It was released Aug. 12.
“The One and Only Ivan” is about a gorilla who tries to figure out his past with his friend Stella who is an elephant, and Ivan makes a promise to Stella to set the little baby elephant free. They make a plan to escape captivity. The movie has friendship, loyalty, and the freedom for animals.
The movie made me cry a lot. There are many parts to the movie that made me have sad tears and happy tears. It makes me really happy because it’s about freeing animals from enclosed pens.
My favorite character is the homeless dog named Bob who isn’t supposed to be there. My second favorite character comes in about 20 minutes into the movie; her name is Ruby. She a baby elephant, and she is super cute and sweet.
I was not expecting this movie to be so good, but it was great.
I give this movie 5 stars. The only reason I would give it less is because I cried so much.
I heard about this movie from one of my friends, and I could see why she recommended it.
I think they chose a really good cast, some which include Ariana Greenbalt (who plays Julia) and Danny Devito (who plays Bob the dog).
If you don’t want to cry, don’t watch this movie. But if you’re OK with crying, definitely watch it. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this is because you can only watch it on Disney Plus. But besides that I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
