The Duncan Middle School softball girls will host a fundraising tournament Friday at the Duncan High School softball field.
But the tournament will be bitter sweet because it will the last games of the season. The eighth-grade girls will play their finals middle school games.
Eighth-grader Kristen Alverez said, “The hardest part about leaving is not being able to see my seventh-grade friends, and I feel that we have done really good this season.”
The Duncan Middle School Festival is an all-day event on Friday, where spectators can come to hang out and have fun. Softball players will be there to help.
This season of softball has been successful with many wins over the last few months, and the players have enjoyed it.
“I will miss my friends that are in the eighth grade, but I will get to see them next year, and that will be good,” Finley Davis said. “My favorite thing about this season is that we have become a family, and I was doing something I love.
