The Lady Demons volleyball team played Lawton Central on Thursday, and the DMS varsity walked away with a win.
The Lady Demons won the first set, and pretty much all of their serves went over the net. The second set was a bit more challenging for the Duncan team, but the Lady Demons won the set, going home with the victory against the Lady Cougars.
“I played pretty good,” Vivienne Albin, eighth-grade varsity player, said. “I just lacked a little communication. The team played extraordinary; we all worked together as one.”
The junior varsity team played, but their game didn’t do as well as the varsity team. They lost the first set, but they put up a good fight.
In the second set, they won in a close match with the Lady Cougars. Set three had a lot of ups and downs, but in the end, the Lady Demons took a loss.
Varsity’s next game will be at 4 p.m. Monday against Chickasha. The varsity and junior varsity will play at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 1 against Altus, which will be the final game of the season.
