The Lady Demon softball team had a winning record of 25 to 29 this season.
The season officially wrapped up this weekend with the Duncan Middle School Festival, where the Lady Demons walked away with wins in all three games.
“The team did pretty good,” seventh-grade player Finley Davis said. “I did decent this season, but I only played half the season because of injuries.”
Throughout the season the team faced many local teams, some of them multiple times, including Comanche, Ardmore and Lawton MacArthur.
Davis said the team sport did have a lot of focus on the team, but she also had some personal goals to help her improve and help make her team better.
“My goal is to have better teamwork; I met that goal,” she said.
For some of the players, the ending of the season is bittersweet because it will be their last games to play for Duncan Middle School.
Kristyn Alvarez said she enjoyed this season, but as an eighth-grader, her game play at DMS has come to an end.
“We came together as a team; that’s positive,” Alvarez said. “I wish the season wasn’t over. I enjoyed it.”
