The fall season just recently officially started on Sept. 22, and with the start of this new season comes several fun things along with it. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and I love everything about it.
One of the biggest things I enjoy about fall is all of the seasonal decorations for indoors and outdoors. My favorite fall decoration is the theme of pumpkins. Whether it’s real pumpkins outside on your front porch or pumpkin themed decorations in your bedroom, I think that it is a very neat way to include the fall season spirit in and out of your home.
Another fun thing about fall is that there are two big holidays in this season: One being Halloween and the other being Thanksgiving. I personally am not dressing up for Halloween, but am doing a church activity and will be handing out candy there. On the other hand, Thanksgiving is a holiday that my entire family loves to get together for. We usually meet up at one of my family members’ houses and cook a big dinner, and then we hang out at their house for a couple of days afterwards before it’s time to make the long drive home.
During the fall we have two breaks from school: Thanksgiving Break and Fall Break.
During the fall most people are excited for football season, but I’m not a big football person myself. Instead, I look forward to my soccer season starting. Our league starts in the very beginning of fall, and ends toward the end of the season. When we don’t have soccer games or practice, you could find me out in my yard playing for fun in the cool fall air.
