The Duncan Middle School football teams left school Tuesday and faced Altus in Altus. The eighth-grade team won 24-20, while the seventh-grade lost 6-32.
So far this season, the eighth-grade team has not lost a game, but the seventh-grade team has not won a game.
“They thought they had us in the first half, but then in the second half, we brought it home,” eighth-grader No. 32 John McClain said.
No. 3 Collin Sherrill, who is part of the seventh-grade team, said he was disappointed in the outcome of the seventh-grade game.
“We had some good things and lots of bad things, but we are only humans,” Sherrill said. “We make mistakes, but I’m personally working on mind and learning from them.”
The next game is tonight against Cache. The game is a home game. Kickoff for seventh-grade is at 5 p.m., and the eighth-grade will play after the seventh-grade game.
