The cheerleaders have a tough and easy job to do.
They cheer on angry crowds and sometimes happy ones. They are thrown in the air and sometimes they don’t get caught, and if they are not in the air then they are lifting 90 pounds over their heads.
I am a flyer and I can tell you when I am in the sky coming down, it is the most fun thing ever, but if I don’t get caught, it can be dangerous.
Presley Sanders said, “I really like being in the air. It reminds me of gymnastics.”
Cheerleaders had a stunt camp that was for the seventh-grade members to learn how to stunt and for the eighth-graders to get better at it, especially if they want to do high school cheer.
All of this to say, next time you go to a football game, give the cheerleaders a little cheer.
