The Duncan Middle School Choir is selling poinsettias.
The choir fundraiser started today and will go through Oct. 30. This is the fifth year the group will be selling the flowers.
The poinsettias will deliver from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4. The plants are alive year-round.
“(The money raised) goes into our activity budget,” choir director Mark Monteith said. “It can pay for our trips to contests and other events we participate in.”
The choir members hope to sell a lot of poinsettias this year.
The flowers are $12 per plant and come in red, white or pink color choices. They have four to six blooms and are 6.5 inches in diameter.
These flowers are traditional Christmas flowering plants and are a favorite among those types of plants.
They will be available to buy for more than two weeks.
