Halloween is a holiday for families around the to trick-or-treat and dress up for this spooky day.
Today is Halloween.
Trick-or-treating is a time for families to go house to house and collect candy. Some families decorate their houses.
At DMS, students are getting ready for Halloween.
Gabriel Wiggins is a sixth-grade student at DMS. Wiggins is planning on dressing up for Halloween. He has dressed up in the past.
“Halloween is my favorite holiday because I get to spend time with my family and sometimes my mom,” Wiggins said. “I like to trick-or-treat because I get to get a crap ton of candy.”
Wiggins isn’t the only DMS student excited about Halloween.
Karile Stevens, a seventh-grade student at DMS, is not planning on going trick or treating this year, although Halloween is her favorite holiday.
“I like it but it is kind of childish so I don’t do it anymore,” Stevens said.
She said she still likes Halloween and enjoys celebrating the holiday.
“I like ghosts and pumpkins and stuff like that,” she said.
Halloween is a fun time for some people because they get to spend time with family and friends. Whether or not that is trick-or-treating or not.
People have different likes and dislike so you never know what they are doing or where they are on this scary Halloween night.
