The Duncan Middle School boys’ basketball team is set to play next week.
Their first game is set for Nov. 12, and it will be a home game against Lawton MacArthur. This will be their only game of the week, but another game will follow the next week on Nov. 19.
Seventh-grade player Zion Butler said he is ready for the season to start.
The basketball team will play games through the beginning of February with a tournament to end the season in Cache. During the season, the team will have 14 games and tournaments to play and compete in.
The eighth-graders will be able to work with the seventh-grade players to help them improve.
“I just want to be a team player,” eighth-grade player Noah Hudson said.
Hudson said he is also ready for the season to get underway.
While the first couple of weeks only have one game, most weeks during the season will have two games with Tuesdays and Thursdays being the primary basketball days.
Boys and girls will alternate home and away games and will typically face off against the same schools, except for tournaments.
The span of the season is about two to three months with plenty of opportunities for people to support their Duncan Demons.
