On Saturday, the Duncan Demon Wrestling Team wen to Lawton MacArthur to compete in the first tournament of the season.
The tournament went well, and many Duncan Middle School wrestlers placed. During the tournament, many DMS wrestlers were up against their own teammates.
Some people had round robins, and others had double elimination.
“I did great,” Carter Riddles said. “I placed second and lost to one of my teammates.”
Riddles said he competed int a round robin.
“The move I used the most was the sprawl; it was very effective and helped me win,” Riddles said. “The move that was used on me the most was the single leg.”
Trey Thomas said he also got second place in the tournament.
“I lost to a great wrestler,” Thomas said.
He said the move he moved the most was the snake, and the one that was used against him was a cross face.”
The Duncan Demons had a lot of placing wrestlers. The Demons had a lot of sixth-graders who who did really well, and some of them ended up placing, too.
The next tournament will Saturday at West Moore.
