Every day is a national day

When someone brings up the term “national holiday,” most people think of days like Christmas or Valentine’s Day.

What a lot of people don’t realize is that almost every day of the year is a national holiday. Although they’re not as recognized as holidays such as Thanksgiving, these holidays can be fun to look at and see what they’re meant for.

I like to look every now and then to see if there are any fun ones, not that I personally would celebrate them, but just to see what all they came up with. Some fun ones happening from now to the end of this year that I’ve found include National Cake Day on Nov. 26, National Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day on Dec. 8 and National Answer the Telephone like Buddy the Elf Day on Dec. 18.

Saturday is National Pickle Day.

Whether you want to celebrate them or not, looking them up online can be a fun way to pass the time when you’re bored.

There are several holidays that weren’t mentioned in this story that are fun as well, and I suggest giving them a look when you have time.
